Composite c-score
A log-based sum of six indicators: total citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted hm-index and citations to single-, first- and first/last-authored papers. Ranks excluding self-citations are used here.
Who is included?
The career list covers 1960 to end-2025; the single-year list only citations received in 2025. Scientists in the world's top 100,000 by c-score or in the top 2% of their sub-field (at least 5 papers) are included.
Institution and profile matching
Institutions come from Scopus profiles; akaturk maps them to university records and names to YÖKSİS profiles. Ambiguous names are not linked and appear without a profile.
Caveats
The authors stress that the list is not an absolute measure of excellence and that cross-field comparisons can mislead. Data reflect Scopus profiles as of 1 August 2026.
