Where to publish?

Paste your article title and, optionally, the abstract or keywords; we list the Scopus, Web of Science and TR Dizin journals that overlap with your topic, together with who from Türkiye has published there.

Sources: Scimago/Scopus categories and SJR, Clarivate JCR quartiles and index editions, the TR Dizin journal list and subject areas, and Türkiye-affiliated publications matched from YÖKSİS.

What this tool does

It extracts the most distinctive terms from your text, matches them against journal titles, Scopus categories and TR Dizin subject areas, and checks in which journals Türkiye-affiliated publications carrying the same terms appeared.

The result is a ranked suggestion, not a guarantee of acceptance. Always check the journal's scope, author guidelines and predatory-journal lists yourself.

Requirements

Results are based on word matching; title plus abstract gives better hits.

Method — plainly

  1. The text is split into words; connectives and academic filler such as 'analysis, effect, study' are dropped, and the first six letters of each remaining word serve as its stem.
  2. The 5 most distinctive terms (longer words, title first) are searched in journal titles, Scopus category names and TR Dizin subject areas.
  3. ISSNs of YÖKSİS-matched Türkiye-affiliated publications whose titles carry at least two of those terms are counted: this is the evidence of where Türkiye-based authors sent work on this topic (a sample of at most 2,500 publications).
  4. Score = title match ×3 + category/subject match ×2 + area ×1 + log₂(1 + evidence count); SJR only breaks ties. At most 25 journals are shown.
  5. Requirements (TR Dizin, Q1/Q2, open access) are applied after scoring; open-access status is known only for journals listed in Scopus.

This tool matches words, it does not understand meaning. Türkiye counts come from ISSN matches of YÖKSİS publication records; records without an ISSN are not counted. No result guarantees that a journal will consider your topic.

Frequently asked

What is the suggestion based on?

Word matching: the distinctive terms in your title and abstract are compared with journal titles, Scopus categories and TR Dizin subject areas, and the journals of Türkiye-affiliated publications carrying the same terms are counted. It is not a semantic (AI) match.

Where does 'N publications from Türkiye' come from?

ISSNs of publication records in YÖKSİS are matched with Scopus and TR Dizin journal ISSNs. Records with a missing or wrong ISSN are not counted, so the true number may be higher.

Can I paste Turkish text?

Yes. Terms are matched regardless of Turkish characters and letter case; since TR Dizin subject areas are in Turkish, Turkish abstracts catch TR Dizin journals better, while English abstracts catch Scopus categories better.
