In Turkey, appointment, promotion, and associate-professorship applications often require a “national article” or a paper in a TR Dizin-indexed journal. International WoS/Scopus scores and the national-index requirement usually sit in separate boxes; one does not replace the other. Confirm a journal’s TR Dizin status on the current list for the application year—entries can be added or removed.
TR Dizin does not produce Impact Factor or JCR quartiles; its job is different. Still, visibility of peer-reviewed national journals matters for discovery and citation.
