The Impact of University Students' Perceptions of Loneliness on Their Motivations to Participate Involuntary Tourism Activities

The aim of the study is to reveal whether university students' perception of loneliness affects their motivation to participate in volunteer tourism.Another aim of the study is to reveal whether students' perceptions of loneliness differ according to their demographic information.In this context, a quantitative research design was used.Data was collected from 821 students using the survey technique and analyzed using the statistical analysis program SPSS 26.According to the findings, no relationship was found between loneliness and motivation to participate in volunteer tourism.According to demographic data, it was determined that only students with doctoral education had different perceptions of loneliness.The study differs from similar studies in that it measures the relationship between participation in volunteer tourism and loneliness.In addition, the study is important in that it draws attention to students' doctoral period in terms of loneliness.The study's recommendations include investigating the relationship between the current education system and loneliness periodically and providing support to young people throughout their education, employment and career management.Considering that
