Abstract
Aim: This study aims to evaluate the demographic characteristics of patients treated under general anesthesia in dentistry and the reasons for their admission to general anesthesia. Material and Method: Patients treated under general anesthesia at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery between May 20, 2013, and April 1, 2023, were analyzed. The relationships between age, gender, systemic diseases, reasons for general anesthesia, and dental treatment parameters under general anesthesia were evaluated for those who met the inclusion criteria. Descriptive statistics, including standard deviation, mean, minimum and maximum values, percentages, cross tables, and frequencies, were used.
