The article outlines the history and peculiarities of humanitarian education, its transformation into sociohumanitarian education. The understanding of the two truths in the perception the objective (natural-scientific) and the projective (socio-cultural) is being determined. The differences between the native (ГОСВПО) and foreign (ISCED) education, in particular, in the understanding of «service» are being analyzed.
