Abstract
English (OpenAlex)
The aim of this study is to reveal that Senecio angulatus L.f, an invasive species from the Asteraceae family, also spreads in Türkiye. S. angulatus, which is considered an alien species for the Turkish Flora, was collected from Sinop and Osmaniye provinces during floristic field surveys. Detailed systematic information, identification key, morphological description and photographs taken from the areas where it is distributed are given, considering that it will be useful for future studies. It is thought that the findings obtained in the study will contribute to the morphology of S. angulatus and its distribution in the world. In addition to the natural flora richness of Türkiye, it is important to record many invasive alien taxa in the country's flora. It is necessary to investigate the positive or negative effects of invasive alien species on the country's biological diversity and to monitor the spread of the species throughout the country.
