Abstract

Turkish

Government policies, technological efficiency, and economic competitiveness are related to each other like the stones of a domino set in the sense that state-level policies can initiate the environment for technology to prosper, and that prosperity can trigger economic competitiveness. With regards to technological efficiency and development, the 21st century has experienced unprecedented change with the widespread practices and implications of artificial intelligence. This study examines the development of artificial intelligence in India with a population of approximately 1.3 billion, focusing especially on the relationship between government policies, technological development and economic competitiveness, and evaluates its rise in the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Index along with other related indices in the light of India's breakthroughs and policies in the field of artificial intelligence. India, which is struggling with various economic and social problems due to the size of its population, has potential to benefit from the use of artificial intelligence in economic and social fields. This constitutes an important example for development and public policy studies related to artificial intelligence.
