Abstract
The aim of this study is to examine the mediating role of intrinsic job satisfaction in the effect of spatial citizenship tolerance behaviors on the psychological well-being of municipal cleaning workers. The research was conducted on 170 cleaning personnel working in the Karatay and Beyşehir district municipalities of Konya province, Türkiye. The participants were administered the Spatial Citizenship Behavior Scale (Tolerance Behavior sub-dimension), the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (Intrinsic Satisfaction subscale), and the Psychological Well-Being Scale. The data were subjected to mediation analysis using the PROCESS Macro. The findings revealed that spatial citizenship tolerance behaviors positively predicted intrinsic job satisfaction (B = 0.196, p < .05), intrinsic job satisfaction was positively associated with psychological well-being (B = 0.307, p < .001), and the indirect effect of tolerance behaviors on psychological well-being through intrinsic job satisfaction was significant (Effect = .052; 95% CI: .006 - .111). The direct effect of tolerance behaviors on psychological well-being was also significant (B = 0.218, p < .01). The research findings indicate that tolerant behaviors exhibited by municipal cleaning workers in their spatial interactions can positively influence their psychological well-being through increased intrinsic job satisfaction.
