Ports, the areas of managing huge amounts of cargo mobility, are controlled and pressed by such institutions as local, national and/or international.In line with political and economical advances in the World, ports have been pressurized by many different institutions since 2000's.Therefore, its' structure and practices have been influenced by these pressures.Thus, for the ports management's, it is crucial to know institutional logics well and to respond to them with appropriate practices.That's why, this study focuses not only on the critical changes affecting the port sector from 2000's to present but also the impacts on the formation of institutional logics and how it's perceived by port managements.For this scope, Kocaeli ports are exemplified for searching institutional logics.Private ports are taken into consideration via in-depth interviews with their senior executives.All the interview records are coded and evaluated within a conceptional view.
