Özet
The study examined how various light sources (blue, white, and green) affect the structure of the jejunum in Japanese quails. A group of twenty-one male quails, all 42 days old, were exposed to LED lights emitting certain wavelengths for a duration of 42 days. The histological analysis of jejunum tissues primarily examined villus length, crypt depth, and the villus length/crypt depth index (VL/CD). The findings suggest that exposure to green light resulted in the greatest length of villi, whereas exposure to blue light led to the smallest depth of crypts. In addition, the VL/CD index exhibited a considerably greater value when exposed to green light as opposed to blue and white light. The results indicate that manipulating the light spectrum has the ability to improve the health of the intestines and increase the efficiency of nutrient absorption in quails. This could have important consequences for managing and improving poultry production efficiency.
