There are many numbers of plants' name in Turkey's Turkish vocabulary.If we add the names of plants named differently in the Turkish dialetics of Turkey, this number will increase significantly.Because in Turkish geography, every plant has many different names and even each name has different variables.For example hindiba is named as ak güneyik, çatlankoz, gügeyik, hindibağ, and yavşan otu is named as acı ot, kara pelin, sancı otu.Many of these nameshave not yet entered dictionaries or the books about botanic.However, in all Turkey it is known to about ten thousand wild plant names be used with the different pronunciation styles.This number is an important figure that reflects the interaction of Turks, who are accepted as the founders of the steppe culture, with nature, and a remarkable data showing the plant diversity in the Turkish geography.These data are needed to determine the area occupied by plant names in Turkish vocabulary.Because nations' lifestyle, life philosophy, cultural structure, eating habits, shelter and economic life determine the world of concepts are determines the world of concepts.Each of the words is an expression of an identity feature, and hides deep traces of Turkish culture in its structure.The names given by Turks to plants are also these types of words.Therefore, Turkish language and culture cannot be considered as independent of the plant names.In this study, 170 words the plant names, and in their concept fields are handled in the dialects of Kütahya's region .For this, the Compilation Dictionary, Gülensoy's "Kütahya and Local Dialects" and master theses on the dialects of Kütahya and localities were utilized.First, the names of the plants belonging to Kütahya and its region, which are mentioned in the written sources were determined by scanning method, and the names of the plants that were not registered yet in studies related to the dialects of Kütahya and its region were determined by the compilation method.Findings are listed alphabetically.By utilizing Baytop's dictionary called "Turkish Plant Names Dictionary", their today's equivalents are given and their thematic classification is made.The obtained numeral data are presented as tables at the end of the study; shown in graphics.
