Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the research progress and trends documented in publications on single-shade universal resin composites published in Web of Science (WoS) indexed journals, using a bibliometric analysis approach. Methods: The study included 90 publications about “single-shade or one-shade universal resin composite” or its modified variations derived from a search of the WoS database. In this study, we adopted a quantitative approach and used the bibliometric analysis techniques via VOSviewer software. Using data on the the number of publications, country, journal, keyword network, abstract word network, trending publications, and journals, we analyzed the articles published on single-shade universal resin composites. Results: This study demonstrated that publications on single-shade universal resin composites exhibited an increasing trend from 2015 to 2024, reaching their peak in 2023. The term “restoration” emerged as the most frequently mentioned in the abstract word network. Analysis of trending keywords revealed that “color” and its related terms were also prominently featured. Conclusion: This bibliometric analysis indicated new, useful, and valuable information about scientific progress in the field of single-shade universal resin composites. In terms of publication trends, a notable increase in the number of publications was found after 2021. This bibliometric analysis provided valuable insights into the scientific advancements in the field of single-shade universal resin composites. Notably, a significant increase in the number of publications was found after 2021.
