Development of Decision Support System to Evaluate the Performance of Turkish Universities

Historically, Higher Education Institutions (HEI) shown great changed relatively, while prioritised one aim 1st and 2nd generation universities (e.g. research-oriented university of the 2nd type) at the beginning, 3rd type university is defined as multicentral information network presented scientific and technical solution to need of the society with the supra-disciplinary attitude at the education, research and innovation intersect by Professor J.G. Wissema. In this study, the University monitoring and evaluation criteria of the Turkish Council of Higher Education, which have been used in universities in Turkey since 2019 and have not been evaluated and analyzed, and which are obtained from national and international data sources, are introduced and their suitability for the functions of universities is discussed.
