In the present study, two Pt(II) complexes with 2-substitutedbenzimidazole ligands were synthesized and evaluated for their in vitro cytotoxic activities on HeLa and MCF-7 cell lines.3-[4,5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) test results showed that complex 2 which was found to be the more active than carboplatin was the most cytotoxic active compound against the HeLa and MCF-7 cell lines among the tested compounds.
