Özet

İngilizce (OpenAlex)

The prevention of electromagnetic pollution, which is increasing in all areas of industry and daily life, is an urgent scientific priority. Numerous shielding materials are being developed to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) due to its detrimental effects on electronic performance and potential health risks. Among these, polymeric nanocomposites (PNCs) offer promising solutions due to advantages such as lightness, corrosion resistance, ease of processing and low cost. PNCs prepared for EMI shielding must be electrically conductive. This can be accomplished by introducing conductive fillers into the polymer matrix. Among the various conductive nanofillers, carbon nanostructures and MXenes are particularly encouraging due to their excellent conductivity. Carbon nanostructures such as carbon black (CB), carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon nanofibres (CNFs) and graphene are often used in PNCs for EMI shielding. In this chapter, the EMI shielding performances of PNCs containing these carbon nanostructures, MXenes and hybrid fillers are discussed.
