CATEGORICAL REGRESSION ANALYSIS WITH MEDICAL APPLICATION

In this study, for the birth weight, a novel system based on categorical regression is proposed. Factors affecting birth weight of newborn are examined with categorical regression. The main purpose of the model development is to examine the causal relationship between independent and dependent variables. It is believed that the prepared Categorical Regression Analysis system may be useful for physicians to make decisions about the factors affecting the birth weight of babies during pregnancies. The results show that categorical regression analysis system based on a learning method can assist in the prediction of birth weight. Received: September 13, 2019 Accepted: November 6, 2019
