Özet
ABSTRACT This case report describes the management of a dental implant that migrated into the maxillary sinus during the healing period after placement and its immediate replacement in the same surgical session. A dental implant was initially placed in the left maxillary molar region, and at the 3-month follow-up, clinical examination revealed that it had migrated into the sinus cavity. The implant was accessed and retrieved using a lateral window approach, preserving the integrity of the Schneiderian membrane throughout the procedure. In the same session, a new implant was placed concurrently with an external sinus lift. This case demonstrates that a migrated dental implant can be retrieved from the maxillary sinus without perforating the sinus membrane and that immediate reimplantation with simultaneous sinus augmentation is a viable treatment option.
