Özet

İngilizce (OpenAlex)

Power systems play a crucial role in meeting energy demands; however, natural disasters can severely damage these systems, resulting in devastating effects on society and the economy. Fortunately, microgrids (MGs) offer promising solutions for mitigating power outages after major unexpected events due to their ability to operate in both grid-connected and islanded modes. This paper discusses the restoration of critical loads through the implementation of MGs by highlighting their key features. Explores the contributions of MGs to the improvement of power system resilience and presents various MG-based techniques used in resilience development studies. The paper also includes an extensive analysis of resilience metrics commonly employed to evaluate and improve the resilience of power systems. Furthermore, the article examines resilience assessment studies involving MG, with a particular focus on optimization studies. Describes the most popular optimization techniques and solution approaches, detailing their advantages and disadvantages. This comprehensive review aims to provide insight into how MGs can strengthen the resilience of power systems and ensure reliable energy supply during and after natural disasters.
