Bayburt Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinin SWOT Analizi ile Değerlendirilmesi

Öz Bu araştırmanın amacı, Bayburt Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinin mevcut durumunu, güçlü ve zayıf yönleri ile karşı karşıya olduğu fırsat ve tehditler çerçevesinde SWOT analizi yoluyla değerlendirmektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan durum çalışması deseni temel alınarak yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunu Bayburt Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde öğrenim gören 15 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğiyle toplanmıştır. Görüşme yöntemi, katılımcıların belirli bir olguya ya da duruma ilişkin algı, değerlendirme ve deneyimlerini ayrıntılı biçimde ortaya koymalarına imkân tanıyan sistematik bir veri toplama sürecidir. Elde edilen bulgular içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre fakültenin akademisyenlerle güçlü iletişim, güvenli ve samimi ortam, spor tesisleri, branş çeşitliliği ve sportif faaliyetler gibi önemli güçlü yönlere sahip olduğu; buna karşın fakülte binası, kantin, atletizm pisti ve spor malzemeleri gibi fiziki yetersizliklerin öne çıkan zayıf yönler olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca iş imkânları, antrenörlük belgesi, formasyon ve üniversite imkânları önemli fırsatlar olarak değerlendirilirken; atama ve istihdam sorunları, ekonomik sıkıntılar, spor bilimleri mezunlarının yoğunluğu ve küçük şehir koşulları fakülte açısından temel tehditler arasında yer almaktadır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Bayburt Üniversitesi, Spor Bilimleri, SWOT Analizi Abstract The purpose of this research is to evaluate the current status of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Bayburt University, its strengths and weaknesses, and the opportunities and threats it faces, through a SWOT analysis. The research was conducted based on the case study design, one of the qualitative research methods. The study group consisted of 15 students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Bayburt University. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview technique. The interview method is a systematic data collection process that allows participants to elaborate on their perceptions, evaluations, and experiences regarding a specific phenomenon or situation. The findings obtained were analysed using content analysis. According to the results, the faculty has significant strengths, such as strong communication with academics, a safe and friendly environment, sports facilities, variety of disciplines, and sporting activities. On the other hand, physical inadequacies, such as the faculty building, canteen, athletics track, and sports equipment, were identified as prominent weaknesses. Furthermore, employment opportunities, coaching certification, training, and university facilities were considered significant opportunities; while appointment and employment issues, economic difficulties, the high number of sports science graduates, and small-town conditions were identified as key threats to the faculty.
