1.GirişThis study investigates failure mechanisms in deep-drawn portable fire extinguishers using hydrostatic tests and finite element analysis (FEA). 2.Materyal&MetodProduction stages were systematically examined, with deep drawing-induced mechanical properties and nonlinear bilinear isotropic hardening incorporated into the numerical model. 3.SonuçlarWhile extinguishers meeting ASTM, TSE EN 13018, and TSE EN 3-8 standards passed successfully with sufficient weld penetration, those outside standard ranges failed. 4.TartışmaThe FEA model, accounting for material thinning and hardening, showed high correlation with experimental failure pressures and locations. Results indicate that material hardening, thinning, and welding effects especially in the bush region are the critical parameters governing catastrophic failure in these vessels.Kaynakça
