This study aims to evaluate the individual instrument practice habits of flute students receiving professional music education at the undergraduate level and to examine the effects of performance class practice on these habits.The Performance Class Practice is an activity that provides students with the opportunity to regularly perform short pieces.The practice was conducted through online video conferencing applications.The study group of the research consists of flute students who studied at the Department of Music, Faculty of Fine Arts, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, between 2020 and 2024.Data for the group, consisting of a total of 7 students, was obtained using the Individual Instrument Practice Habits scale.It has been taken to ethics committee approval according to the decision numbered E.8711 dated 04.02.2021 of KSÜ Social and Human Sciences Ethics Committee.The study, which was carried out using a one-group pretestposttest experimental design, revealed significant results regarding the individual instrument practice habits and their sub-dimensions.As a result, it was found that the performance class practice had a positive impact on the individual instrument practice habits of flute students, and that significant progress was made in their practice processes.When examining the pretest-posttest data, it was observed that after the performance class practice, the students showed an increase in using their practice time efficiently, awareness of the importance of regular practice, the value they gave to their practice, their interest in music studies, and their motivation.Based on the data, no significant difference was found in the preparation phase of the practice.Overall, it was observed that the performance class practice had a positive effect on individual practice habits.Based on the results, suggestions were developed for implementing the practice in basic and advanced education, music ensemble training, face-to-face environments, and with different instruments. Structured Abstract:Professional music education aims to develop students' artistic abilities, technical skills, social and behavioral patterns, while also fostering self-confidence, stage experience, and critical thinking abilities.Creating opportunities for students to perform regularly is essential for them to gain stage mastery.Performance class applications play an important role in music education by providing students with the chance to demonstrate their musical abilities, while also encouraging the development of their practice habits and individual skills.These applications promote active participation and group interaction among students, allowing them to improve not only their performance skills but also their work habits and individual
