Trees have various cultural meanings and symbolic values, as well as being a concrete element of nature.Trees have a significant place in Turkish culture, basically as a symbol of life, vitality, immortality, abundance and productivity, hope, fertility, reproduction, health and wellness. The literature indicates classifications based on the meanings attached to trees, such as "the tree of life", "wish trees", "cosmic trees" and "sacred trees".This study was not limited by any of these classifications. The purpose of this study is to present a general evaluation of the symbolic and cultural meanings of the tree in Turkish culture and to examine tree representations in three selected Turkish films (Gökçeçiçek, Tatlı Dillim and Siyah Gelinlik) with purposeful sampling in cinema, which is regarded as a cultural asset carrier.
