Kutlubeyyazıcılar Kampüs Alanının (Bartın Üniversitesi) Yerleşime Uygunluk Açıdan Değerlendirilmesi

Kutlubeyyazicilar Campus settlement (Bartin Province) area which is mainly located on an alluvial and hilly plain area. Study area was located on an land which is approximately 117 ha.between Kutlubeyazyazicilar village and Esenyurt vilage. Study area consists of Caycuma formation which is volcanic additive sand Stone, silt Stone, clay Stone. Geological and geotechnical studies were carried out to determine the suitable, province and unsuitable areas for settlement in Kutlubeyyazicilar campus area (Bartin). For this reason, 1/1000 scaled engineering geologcal maps of the study area were prepared. Further more, boreholes were drilled at 35 locations and Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) were carried out through the geological boreholes for bearing capacity calculations and liquefactions potentials assessments of the ground. Consolidation settlement tests and an evaluation of the physical properties of the rock and soil were also carried out. Suscetible areas for mass movements and steep slope (α≥16) were determined and shown on the engineering geological maps. As a result of these geological and geotechnical investigations, the provisional (precautionary), suitable and unsuitable areas for settlement were determined for Kutlubeyyazicilar Campus settlement area (Bartin) and its environs
