Preterm ve Term Yenidoğanlarda İlk Banyo Zamanlarının ve Farklı Banyo Yöntemlerinin Termoregülasyona Etkisi: Sistematik Derleme

This review was conducted to systematically examine the studies on the effects of first bath times and different bath types on thermoregulation in preterm and term newborns.Systematic searches was publıshed between April 2020 and May 2020 and conducted in English in EBSCO electronic databases.In the scans, the keywords "newborn" and "bath" or "thermoregulation" were used, and the studies were filtered using the inclusion criteria determined in the database.The PICOS method was based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria for the selection of studies.The study included 11 studies, experimental/semi-experimental and randomiz controlled researches.In the studies in the systematic review, the room temperature between 26-27oC and the bath water temperature between 37-38oC.In studies,it was found that the bath time in preterm and term newborns was done between 3-24 hours after birth, the bath decreases body temperature in preterm and term newborns, tub bath method in preterms is more effective than wiping bath in maintaining body temperature.Wrapping bath has been shown to be more effective than wiping bath in maintaining body temperature of preterm newborns.In the studies, it was found that the bath time was done between 3-24 hours after delivery in preterm and term newborns, and the bath reduced the body temperature in preterm and term newborns, tub bathing is more effective than sponge bathing in maintaining body temperature in preterm,swaddled bathing is more effective than sponge bath in maintaining body temperature in preterm newborns.
